Cardinal Newman Wrestling wins the 20th annual Cardinal Holiday Classic

Congratulations to our Cardinal Newman Wrestling team for winning the 20th annual Cardinal Holiday Classic!!

The team scored 166 tournament points, securing 1st place by 22 points over Westside High School. 

CN had 11 wrestlers that contributed to the team victory. Leading the way for the Cardinals: 113lb Individual Champion, Carter Lirgg, 120lb Individual Champion, Eli Lorang, 138lb individual champion, Triston Johnson, 150lb Individual Champion, Shayne Ross, 144lb runner up, Cooper Smythe, and 126lb 3rd placer, Jack Turner. 

Freshman 120 pounder, Eli Lorang, was also named the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler for the Lower Weights.
